Very creamy and flavorful ice cream! Remember when making this that your end flavor will only be as intense as your bananas, so make sure the bananas you are are ripe! This is such a nice recipe, I think that when I make it again, I am going to add a fudge ripple when the ice cream begins to form and also perhaps a few toasted almonds or walnuts to make it taste more like a banana split! : ) Thank you for this lovely recipe, duonyte!

I made this over a year ago and forgot to review it. This was the first ice cream I ever made, and I loved it, along with everyone who tried it. I added some vanilla extract just for extra depth of flavor. Another great way to do it is to add a split vanilla bean to the syrup.

Smooth, rich and creamy! We used super ripe bananas like the recipe said, and used a simple syrup with lemon. It was a little more tart than most banan ice creams due to the extra lemon but still better than any store made ice cream I've ever tasted, even better than the premium brands.

This was soooo tasty, and it didn't go as hard-packed as some ice cream recipes, so it was easier to eat even after having been in the freezer for a week or two. Very strong banana flavour.

So easy and delicious. I used 4 large very ripe bananas and Simple Syrup for the syrup. About 1/2 cup chopped pecans was added as the ice cream began to freeze. This was used to make ice cream sandwiches which were made with Slice and Bake Peanut Butter Cookies. Nothing like peanut butter, banana and nuts. Thanks for a great recipe that I am sure to make again.

This has great banana flavor without having to add extract or liquer. I think the simple syrup really helps enhance the banana flavor which can be too subtle because it's so cold. Husband is a huge banana ice cream fan and says this is the best ever.
