20 Reviews of Potatoes With Plenty of Peppy Paprika

Yep! These are peppy!! I used Yukon Gold Potatoes. I kind of "smashed them, but left them very chunky. They get a really nice burnt orange color, which is nice because I could serve them w/ cauliflower without the plate looking all "white." With all that paprika, you really only need minimal salt. I knew hubby would think they were a bit dry, which they are, (I didn't want to add more butter)so I served them with a dallop of light sour cream on top. The cool, creaminess of the sour cream went well with the "peppiness" of the paprika. (Sorry this review got so long!) Thanx for sharing Mom's recipe. I'll be making these agian.

So tasty! I made them like mama told (chunky), and I think they were moist and wonderful. Only think I'd change is not to put quite as much lemon juice in, they were extremely lemony. Still, a true winner.

We really enjoyed this dish! I made it exactly as written, except I pre-cut my potatoes into little cubes first as opposed to breaking them up after. It was a delicious and colourful addition to our plates. I had some left over, so I fried them up the next day with eggs....awesome! Thanks for posting Cookgirl!

Very good but I would cut back on the lemon and add much more butter!I did make your recipe for pancakes #125305 with the leftovers! Now those are REAL good!

This was a wonderful addition to our pork chops tonight. I lessened the paprika a little and also added sour cream at the end. I fork mashed them and DH really liked that, he hates mushy creamy potatoes. Thanks for a new tater dish.

Great potatoes. I will admit to going light on the lemon juice in recipes like this, but that is just a personal preference. Thanks for the great recipe.

I agree with all the other reviewers this was easy and really good! I followed the recipe exactly except they had to sit in a warm oven for an hour or so until dinner was finally ready. Thanks Cookgirl!
