I used half of each ingredient, it made just enough for my small container of fresh oysters. Fried them in butter/oil mixture. Very tasty way to serve oysters as an appetizer!

All my family said these were the best I ever made. Always before used crackers.

This made a easy and delicious dinner tonight. The oysters were nicely browned but not dried out. The only complaint, and this is just nit-picking, is that the 1/2 cup each of flour and cornmeal seemed to be too much. This may depend of the size of the oysters, though. Thank you, Tebo, for a wonderful recipe!

I added some cajun seasoning to mine. I wasn't sure when to add the minced garlic so it went it with the oysters. The oysters I used were quite large and I think this would have been better if I had cut them in half. Thanks for sharing this very quick and easy recipe.

I left out the parsley and substituted Old Bay's herb and garlic seasoning. These were incredibly easy and tasted just like restaurant oysters. We used them on po' boys like they do in Louisiana. YUM.

Made these for MIL at Mother's Day brunch this morning. She was in oyster heaven. I added the garlic along with the oysters in step 4 and garnished with the parsley after cooking.

Fantastic. Instead of cornmeal I used Italian bread crumbs. Mixed the garlic in with the dried ingredients. I prepared the oysters ahead of time and put on waxed paper and in the frig for an hour before cooking. I cooked them longer than 40 seconds, wanting to be sure they were fully cooked. They tasted great. Will cook again, and again.

Great technique. I subbed bread crumbs for cornmeal (didn't have) and also added a little Old Bay seasoning to the flour mixture. Thanks for recipe.
