Oh my gosh, If I could give this recipe more than 5 stars I would.. I made this for the family and our son's girlfriend was here and she ate the chicken lo mein too and they both kept saying how good this is..Everyone had second's but I am bummed none for tomorrow, lol
Kelly, You tell DH, If there is one recipe on zaar that truly deserves attention it is this one. I would have him send this in to quick cooking.
What I did was cut up the chicken before I cooked it and it worked out great, I added cut up waterchestnuts and put in some pea pods. The flavor was outstanding and I will tell you, This chicken dish will Most definately become a regular in this household. If people want a fast, tasty chinese dish, please give this recipe a try.. I am sooo happy I tried this for our family if you would have seen the smiles on my son's face, it was worth it..
Thank you kelly and Dh for a wonderful, wonderful recipe. It deserves to be tried again and again.

This is such a fun recipe..soo easy and tasty, I threw in some garlic and ginger, omitted the chicken, used the whole bag of coleslaw and added some snap peas and water chestnuts; despite all my tampering with the recipe, the results were great.!Oh yes , I also threw in some Thai chili sauce. Ha Ha.

This recipe was great. The flavor was outstanding. I used chicken tenders and they only took about 8-10 minutes to cook. I did not hard boil eggs, but rather, when the noodles were stir-frying, I pushed them aside and dropped in a couple of eggs and scrambled them in the side of the pan. Then I just stired them into the noodles. Also, in a separate pan, I sauteed a couple of sliced onions until they were soft. I added those to my plate (yum-yum). I knew my kids wouldn't eat them, so left them out of theirs. I served with some egg rolls and cream cheese wontons purchased in the freezer section. It made a quick and hearty meal. Try it, you'll like it.

To Vick in AZ: You might want to try this again and just jazz it up a bit with spices. My main reason for responding is to say that I use those seasoning packets for a lot of things, and I NEVER in any dish use more than 2/3 the packet, and often less. I haven't tried this recipe yet, but I will, and I'm a strong believer in adjusting anything according to what I know my particular tastes require. Thanks for posting it, peace, and I will be trying this one!

***** My family is crazy about this recipe. It is simplicity plus. I have had to adjust some of the amounts to suit us. But, a recipe is a guideline, anyway, not something chiseled in stone. I have made it with raw meat cooked as per recipe, I have made with cooked shrimp and subbed 1 pkg of noodles w/ shrimp flavored. I once used beef and once cooked chicken chicken. It is such a versatile recipe one could vary it and have it often without exact repeats. Thank You for posting it. And thank your DH for showing it to you. jim

I cannot speak highly enough about this recipe. I picked up a cooked rotisserie chicken and shredded that, then started at step 4. Dinner was fantastic, took less than 10 minutes to make and cost $5. It doesn't get any better than that!! I did leave out the eggs as a matter of personal taste. Thank you very much for posting this! It's a keeper.

This was so good. DH loved it as well and I know it will become a regular dish around our house. I added snap peas, other than that followed the recipe. I'm so happy I found this quick and easy recipe. Thank-you!

Loved it! Very simple to make and great as leftovers! I am not a fan of hard-boiled eggs so I left them out. Will definitely make this again!

I made quite a few modifications, but I REALLY liked this! It was SO easy and tasty. I'm a vegetarian, so I didn't use chicken. Instead, I skipped down to step 4. I added a tiny bit of sesame oil and olive oil to step 6 since I didn't have leftover liquid in the pan. I also excluded the egg because I don't eggs. I eat a lot of oriental ramen (it's the only veg one) and was surprised at the flavor that came out of only 5 ingredients! I had this ready in 10 minutes. Thank You for sharing!

We loved this fast and easy dish! I made as posted except left off the eggs ~ just personal preference. I chunked up my chicken before cooking to save a little time but otherwise followed the procedure. This dish is one of those dishes that ingredients can easily be subbed in an out to make it unique each time. A great dinner that we will be having often. Thanks so much for posting a keeper!
