I wanted to make a butterscotch pie for my sister's birthday as it is her favorite. I have used regular pudding mix before, but wanted this one to be special. It was the BEST PIE WE HAVE EVER HAD! Easy to make, but tastes like it took all day and better than any high end restaurant could serve. Absolutely, positively, without a doubt, the best pie in the world. Thank you so much for the recipe!

okay, i made this for my father-in-law, and he gave this recipe 5 stars (i didn't rate it because i don't like butterscotch). He said this is just like his mom used to make! Thanks for making his birthday special!

Oh my Gosh!!! This is a wonderful recipe. This is my favorite pie but I have never been able to make it as well as the Older Ladies in the church, until I found this recipe. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

Reading the recipe, one should realize this is a SWEET pie. That being said, this pie has a beautiful real butterscotch taste & smooooth texture - wonderful with a cup of black coffee! We will definately make this pie again when hankering for an easy delicious casually impressive sweet treat - great for afternoon visitors on cold days or before heading out for yardwork! Thank you for posting, Stacky5LRC!

It was my grandma's 90th birthday last weekend and I asked my dad (who loves butterscotch pie) what was her favorite dessert!!! After thinking about it, he said butterscotch pie...knowing he would get to try it too! So I made one for the first time! After eating a piece, he said «You are the best cook ever...it was delicious!» Everybody had a piece and I have never had such great comments about my cooking. They all gave it a 5 star!

This pie is wonderful. I had used an old recipe of a friend's mother for years, but this one is much better. My Dad's favorite and he said this one is "out of this world". My husband raved "this is the best one you have ever made!"

Oh this was soooo good!!! Yummy yummy yummy! The best and most delicious butterscotch pie I have tasted! So much better from scratch than from pudding! My 9 year old daughter and I made it together, and after a first mistake we got it down. Second time around went really smooth. We used whipped cream instead of meringue and it was very tasty! Looking forward to making it again and especially to EATING it again!!! Thank you for sharing this great recipe!

This was so good!!! All of us had to have second helpings even though we were full from dinner. The only change or addition I made was to put sliced bananas at the bottom. Thanks for a great recipe.
