Most excellent way to use up hamburger meat. My dear husband came home and when he saw what I had on the table ready for him he just filled his plate to the max. He ate til he was stuffed. He loved this recipe and said I needed to make this more often and than stumbled to the sofa for a nap. I made cream potatoes and green beans and garlic toast to serve with this dish.
I used Knorr classic brown gravy pack and I put the onion in the gravy instead of the meat. It was delicious! I have been told to make again so its a keeper!
Thanks for sharing your recipe mysonshine!

I used the raw onion in my ground beef. I have made these before using the onion soup mix. I think I prefer the raw onion. The gravy was a new twist. My husband said next time double the gravy. These are very easy to make. Thanks mysonshine. Bullwinkle.

Reaaly good comfort food. I served them with buttered eggs noodles and corn, and we all liked them a lot. Thanks.

Made this for hubby last night for dinner and he loved it. We both agreed that we needed to make a little more gravy next time. It's been added to my keeper pile since hubby is already asking when we're having it again! Thanks for a great recipe!

I had a pound of ground beef to use up and this recipe sounded good. It was very easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly as written. I used the onion soup mix instead of onions and I used a cup of water. Everyone enjoyed them.

I made this with the onion soup mix and it was a big hit. It was also easy to make. I served it with Au gratin potatoes and green beans and the colors looked great together as well.

Oh, the memories! I remember mom serving us this as kids! We didn't use the brown gravy/water, but it was one of my favorite meals. It pairs well with green beans! Great recipe!

This was total comfort food at it's best. Instead of using an onion, I substituted minced onions in the ground beef. Otherwise followed the recipe as written. Very delicious and came together quickly which is a huge plus. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I made this last night and it was DEELICIOUS! Only difference I'd make is adding an egg to the hamburger mixture to help it stick together better. (That was the only comment my boyfriend made. Otherwise, we inhaled it. I am eating leftovers right now and it's still yummy! Thanks for posting!
