Very good; made for a quick and easy dinner to prepare. I used 2 whole leg quarters (2 1/2 pounds) to serve 2 adults and 1 child. I too, added a pinch of garlic powder, oregano and basil to the mix, as well as a pinch of marjoram, dried parsley and savory. I used butter; the coating was buttery and light and the chicken moist. I served this with stuffing, gravy, green beans, corn and rolls. Thanks for posting!

This was excellent! I added a pinch of garlic powder, oregano, and basil to the Biquick and other spices and sprayed a foil-lined pan with cooking spray. Then I lightly sprayed the chicken - I used boneless, skinless breasts- with the cooking spray also. The chicken came out crispy and moist and was yummy! Thanks for sharing this,Debidoo!

The aroma was fantastic and the flavor was great. I used boneless skinless chicken breasts and probably should not have baked them as long since they were just a little bit dry. Definitely a keeper. Thanks, Debidoo.

Thanks so much for posting this! This will become a regular in our house - everyone loved it. The only change I made was adding garlic powder, and onion powder.

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because I was annoyed, after finally finishing up with the shakin' and getting ready to do the bakin', to find the butter in the pre-heated pan all browned. I added another tablespoon to it, tho, and that solved the problem. My recommendation would be to hold off on tossing the pat in until almost ready to put the chicken in. ... The coating is awesomely yummy; I varied the original by adding a couple shakes each of ground oregano, sage, and marjoram as others had recommended, but the paprika is certainly what gives it a great pep.

I followed this to a T and should have taken the advice of the previous reviewers that suggested the addition of other seasonings for flavor. Without the added spices, this was to bland for us, as is. Thanks anyway.

Great idea with Bisquick. Such an alternative!!! My husband LOVES fried chicken and I hate pan frying it, but we are both watching our calorie intake. So I used low fat butter, and instead of paprika, salt and pepper, I use CREOLE seasoning that I mixed in with the bisquick. Awesome flavor!! Thank you so much!

Delicious! My mom used to make her fried chicken this way (except not the low fat Bisquick). The chicken stayed moist and was very flavorful. For the paprika I used my Penzey's Smoked Spanish Paprika and it worked out very well. Thanks for posting this great recipe.
