5 Reviews of Cheese Danish

From: coconutcream

On Jul 16, 2005

I'll admit that at first, I was a little concerned that I had a huge mess on my hands. The crescent roll was way too soft and thin for the filling, and I couldn't get the sides to stay folded up or anything. Filling was already spilling onto the pan when I put it in the oven, and I just knew that it was going to run everywhere once it got heated up. Fortunately though, everything stayed in place during the cooking and the danish ended up tasting pretty good! It wasn't my favorite cheese danish in the world, but because it was low fat (I used fat free cream cheese and reduced fat crescent rolls), I was happy! Everyone liked it, and I'll be trying again, though I might experiment with the type of dough I use.

My daughters and I made this for the Zaar Stars challenge in ZWTIII. We had great time making it! The flavor in this danish was wonderful with just a hint of lemon. The filling was a bit runny when I sliced it, so next time I'll also add an extra tablespoon of flour. The only change I made was to add icing on top after baking. I mixed confectioners sugar and lemon juice. Thanks for a delicious danish and a good time!

I hardly ever buy the refrig. crescent rolls, but they were on sale the last time I was grocery-shopping, so I bought a few cans-worth. WoW! I am so glad I did because then I could make this AWESOME and EASY recipe! The only thing I changed was (based on comments of last reviewer---that it might be runny), I added an extra tablespoon of flour. The whole thing came together beautifully. DD thinks I should've added some raspberry jam across the top, too. Mmmm! KEEPER!!!! Made for ZWT3 Scandinavian Region

From: Kitty On Aug 19, 2008 This was my first attempt at this recipe and it was absolutley delicious. I had nothing but great reviews. It was also quick and easy. The only thing I changed was adding the extra tablespoon of flour. (Also based on one of the reviews)

Great Danish Charlotte! I heated up some fresh blueberries with a little sugar, cornstarch and water and poured the blueberry sauce over the danish right before eating. Talk about awesome! Everyone here gave them thumbs up! Thanks!
