Very cute cake that was so simple. I realize that this isn't a culinary masterpiece, but it has definite eye-appeal. I prepared it for sharing at the local community center, but think that it would be an excellent addition to a cookout or casual shower. The most time consuming part for me was locating the Little Debbie treats! LOL

Great ideas! I used a round Boston Cream pie from Walmart, put in the chocolate chips and rolls, then decorated around it with fall flowers they had on sale. It looked great! Thanks for sharing.

Made this for my family reunion this past weekend, and it was pretty awesome. My young (7-year-old twins and 4-year-old sister) nieces were even able to get in on the action by helping me put the chocolate chips on top, so we called it the cake "we" made. For my next trick--making the sunFLOWER cake into a sunSHINE cake by using yellow cake & frosting with Little Debbie Lemon Meringue rolls. Thanks for a terrifically easy and tasty recipe sure to impress!!

This was a simple recipe and tasted good but I couldn't find those boston cream rolls ANYWHERE so I ended up using Twinkies! The kids gobbled them up and the rest of my family ate the cake! Really pretty cake!!

OK-I made these for a bake sale with some changes. I did totally no bake...Ha Ha! I bought Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate muffins with chocolate chips on top and used that as the center. For the Little Debbie cakes,I cut them in half. They fit perfect on a small plate and there were NONE leftover! Thanks!

I made this as a center piece ago 3 years ago when I was still catering. Along with a few other recipes that I have just found in my cook book, I never reviewed this right after making it. This is very surprising to me because I am normallly very good at remembering to review recipes. This was beautiful, though, and pretty easy to make. I remember the day of the party when I was putting the final touches on it and I couldn't stop eating the chocolate chips, hahaha! Oh well!
Anyway, this is a lovely center piece, and I'm sorry it took me so long to review.
