99 Reviews of Cream Cheese Cinnamon Crescents

From: Pokey in San Antonio, TX

On Feb 28, 2006

These really are too good. I bound the two sheets together with a little water on my finger tip to form a long rectangle. After I spread the cheese mixture, I rolled the dough up starting at the short end, and then sliced the roll into small "cinnamon roll" like pieces. Made great little cream cheese pastries.

These were really, really good! After reading other reviews, I made a couple of minor changes: added some raspberry jam to just one side so we could taste it with and without, then decreased the sugar in the cream cheese by 1/4 cup due to addition of the jam. It worked great, and we didn't miss the extra sugar on the plain cream cheese side at all. Both sides were delicious, but the raspberry side was the clear favorite. I didn't add much jam - maybe 1/4 cup - and I popped it in the microwave for 30 seconds first to make it easy to spread on the cream cheese. The only thing that I would change (possibly) would be to use a bit less cream cheese overall since it was a tad gooey, but that's just a preference and it really was great as is. And since we ate it RIGHT out of the oven, it will probably be less gooey after it cools and has a chance to firm up a bit. The bottom line: this is a fantastic and easy dish that is great for hanging out at home or a brunch. Thanks tons for a great recipe!

Very, very good but, as mentioned before, it's too sweet when made as directed and I thought there was too much filling so I reluctantly give only 4 stars. For my 2nd batch I used just 1 package of cream cheese mixed with only 1/4 C of sugar but kept the full 1 t of vanilla. I didn't halve the topping but replaced the white sugar with brown sugar. These taste like a cream cheese danish and I'm glad you posted this easy recipe. Even my kids like these and I agree with others that they are twice as good when chilled. I did not 'pinch' together the dough (just set it close or overlapped when necessary) and that worked just fine. Thank you!

I made these from the other recipe(by another name) listed on this site. It really is an awesome dessert. There's never any left in our house when this is served. I only made a slight change when preparing the sugar, butter mixture to pour over the top. I added a teaspoon of Watkins Vanilla Nut flavoring(I use this in place of regular vanilla in all recipes and it gives an incredible taste) in the mixture and also did not mix the cinnamon in the mixture, but sprinkled it over the top. This recipe is always a favorite, very delicious.

I loved these! I added 1/2 c. fresh blueberries into the cream cheese mix, and other than that followed the recipe, splitting it in half. They were really yummy along with some hot chocolate! Thank you Paula Made for Comfort Food Photos

Delicious and so easy - my Sunday School class couldn't believe how easy it was to make! Perfect as directed, but I think I might try adding a small layer of raspberry jam over the cream cheese next time. Or chopped toffee, crystallized ginger...the list could go on and on...

This is awesome! I fixed these for breakfast It was great warm and wondwefun cold (room temp). All I had was a tub of whipped cream cheese. It worked just fine. Next time I think a layer of jam over the cream cheese. This is a keeper to make again and aagain. Thank you Paula.

These are so good and taste similar to cheesecake! I had this at a baby shower today, got the recipe and was going to post it here but saw your recipe was already posted. Today, the recipe was cut into a little bigger than bite sized serving squares and set out with the other desserts then quickly vanished. I guarantee this would go over well at a bake sale as well as a potluck dessert item, if you don't eat them all beforehand! Great recipe; thanks for posting!

Absolutely TDF! I love anything with cream cheese in it and these are now my #1 favorite! I can't wait to take these to work or church! My neighbors came over for supper and loved these! Such a great dish for any occasion! Oh, did I mention, easy too? I must say, I will not get 18 servings out of this pan! LOL! Thanks Aunt Paula!

Well Aunt Paula, I know you don't need another review but all I can say is that this is a fantastic recipe! And oh so easy to make. I made these last night so that my husband would have something homemade for breakfast since he gets up before I do and I hate to say, but he ate almost the whole pan. He is a freak for anything with cinnamon in it and I know that this hit the spot for him. I was able to taste a bit of it and I have to say that it is truly yummy. I did not change the recipe one bit. It is perfect as written. Thank you so much Aunt Paula for sharing this recipe. Hugs, Susie
