I used 1 can of stewed tomatoes w/oil & garlic since we only had 1 diced in the pantry. I didn't add croutons & instead of broiling, I just melted cheese on top in the microwave. My DH liked his with some spicy pizza seasoning added. it was tasty! Thanks! WOW! I AM ADDING ON TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW - I just made it by adding pepperoni and about 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and it truly does taste like lasagna! THANKS!

This was a wonderful recipe. I wasn't able to do the croutons. I place between 1/4 and 1/3 cup of the mozzarella in each soup dish and then placed the soup over the cheese. I will use this recipe many times in the future. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

This soup was really great and very easy to put together! I couldn't find the pasta that was called for so I used bowtie pasta and it was just awesome...can I give it more than 5 stars? Thanks!!!

This soup was absolutely divine. I had to experiment for a party I am having so halved the recipe and used the mafalda noodles from a Hamburger Helper lasagna box (the only place i could find them). I used less water and added more to my desired consistency. I am absolutely in love with this soup recipe, so impressive in presentation and I will do as another reviewer stated and have cottage cheese for garnishing as well as a variety of breads and a nice salad. I also ordered my mafalda already from foodservicedirect.com and it will look so much nicer than broken up lasagna noodles. Thank You!

This soup was great. We didn't add the croutons or onions, but it still was great. Will definitely make again.

Yum, YUM! This soup was so good! I couldn't believe how quickly it came together and how much flavor it had. Often times I soup doesn't have great flavor until the next day. Not this soup. It was flavorful immediately. Since I made this on a Monday night after work, I opted not to do the crouton/under the broiler step and instead just put cheese on the table for each to add to their bowl. Otherwise I didn't change anything. My husband is still talking about how good this was. thanks for sharing such a great recipe!

This soup was nothing short of fantastic. I didn't have italian seasoning so made my own with recipe # 68017 and it was perfect. The croutons and cheese on top were a welcome surprise. I will make again soon!

This was really good but I think next time I will add more pasta to it. The croutons for me are optional, but a great idea if there aren't any rolls or bread around to have with the meal. This meal is really nice for a cold evening.
