Oh, yum! Like ChrisF, I made this in my Whirley-Pop... a great kitchen gadget to have if you're a popcorn lover like me. I made a half recipe (2 servings all for me!) and used half the oil (I used olive) called for. The end result? A wonderful big bowl of crispy, sweet and absolutely lovely homemade kettle corn. I was a little concerned that the sugar would burn, but it just caramelized and coated the popcorn just wonderfully. I can't believe how easy this was! I'll be making this again for sure. Thanks for a terrific snack!

Very good! I added a little bit of butter to the oil for extra flavor. I would suggest making this in your largest skillet, in my 9 inch skillet I found that the popcorn on the bottom burned because there wasn't any room for it to move once enough had popped.

This turned out beautiful. I made a half batch and used 1 tablespoon of oil and it was perfect and the coating was crisp after it cooled slightly.

Thank You! You've made me a Hero! Four of my kids came home from school, starved of course; the other woke from his nap, (just in time thank his lucky stars) and all 5 of them proceeded to wolf this stuff down faster than a swarm of locust. With four boys and one girl in the family I am constantly trying to find something to appease the little creatures voracious appetites. Thanks from the bottomless pits of their stomachs to you for posting this recipe. I bow down to you for saving me from the inevitable question hollered at me everyday at 3:30 pm, "MOM! WHAT'S FOR SNACK!"

Awsome! I had some kettle corn earlier at a crafts fair and wondered how they made it. I then stummbled across this recipe and decided to try making it. I couldn't tell the difference between them. Very easy to make. My 4 1/2 year old son said, "Daddy, you are bestest ever kettle corn maker!" Thanks for the recipe.

This turned out crispy and delicious on the first try. It's the only kettle corn recipe I've ever made that didn't result in yucky burned popcorn. I'll definitely make this again!

Had a craving for the kettle corn you get at State Fairs and oh my was I glad I found this recipe. VERY easy, and turned out perfect. I cut the sugar in half and still thought it was great.

Lost my first Kettle Corn recipe. So I tried this one, I cut back on the oil to 3 tablespoons. I made two batches using my "Whirly-pop" pot. Took it to a fish fry party. It was a big hit.
