7 Reviews of Basmati Rice Pilaf

From: Sackville

A great recipe. Ingredient amounts are right on and this has lots of flavour. It went perfectly with some beef and cabbage for supper. Would be a great side to just about any meat.

My husband and I enjoyed this dish but DD doesn't like raisins. Her loss.

Made this with the BBQ chicken skewers, No hot pepper, I am a wuss. but it was excellent. Butter only, and onion and shallot.

I've been making a very similar pilaf for years, but the addition of the onion, cinnamon and red pepper added just the right "oomph" to it. I did add the turmeric included in my other recipe because I think it adds to the appearance. Thanks!

Delicious. It reminded me of a dish that I tried about 20 years ago and it stayed in my mind for ever, because it was so flavorful. I added 1/2 cup of shredded coconut trying to imitate "that dish". I have no doubt it would also taste wonderful with out it. I served it as a side dish for Kittencal's Halibut Florentine Thank you Kittencal for another wonderful recipe.
