Wonderful and simple way to prepare green beans, yet with elegant results. I also used almonds in place of the hazelnuts.

This was remarkably good. I made it with 1/2 T of butter and 1/2 T of olive oil, 1/4 tsp of ground thyme (no fresh on hand) and a sprinkling of Parmesan instead of the cayenne and hazelnuts. My older daughter, who has never met a green vegetable that she liked, actually had THIRDS!

Wonderful recipe! Very simple to prepare but gourmet in appearance and flavor. I used half butter and half olive oil (and ended up adding a little more butter at the end), and also added a bit of rosemary with the other herbs, omitting the cayenne. Instead of nuts, we tossed it with crumbled feta cheese ~ divine! I served it with a sirloin in Maine-iac's Steak Wine Marinade #18286; the herbs were a perfect pairing of the two dishes. Thanks!!

These green beans were fantastic. I used chopped fresh oregano and about 1/4 c. chopped hazelnuts and a pinch or two of cayenne. Great flavor. Thanks Dorothy.

This is a really great green bean recipe. I live in the south so we usually season with ham or bacon but this recipe is a welcome change. It also works great in the microwave with frozen green beans and dried onion.

This was absolutely gorgeous! I added in some mushrooms with the butter and the garlic before tossing in the beans and it was fantastic! Really quick and easy, and filling as well!

Wow! Incredible recipe. My husband who will NOT eat green beans in any shape or form actually had SECONDS. I love the garlic, and the cayenne pepper gave it just the right amount of "kick". I used walnuts because that was all I had in the house, but turned out great. This one is a keeper for my house. Excellent!!!

These were some of the best green beans I've ever eaten! I took someone else's suggestion and used almonds. Superb!

This made a wonderful side dish. I used almonds instead of hazlenuts and the recipe was delicious. I served this with another Recipezaar recipe called Roasted Sticky Chicken. I plan on making this again!
