I actually have The More With Less cookbook and have made many recipes out of, but not this one. I love cream soups, especially ones that don't call for cream. I didn't have the savory on hand so had to leave it out and I used home made stock instead of cubes only because I had it in the freezer. It was was very tasty.

This was very good & you feel virtuous eating it, lol, because it's so darn healthy! I added everything at once, cooked, then pureed w/my trusty immersion blender. I used 'Better Than Bouillon' instead of stock (homemade or canned), cubes or nothing. I didn't add more salt. I was initially expecting a potato leek soup but it's more of a vegetable soup that is pureed. I'm not big on the texture of pureed potatoes - I keep my potato soup chunky. But that's a personal preference - this is a lovely, healthy soup! Thank you, Kaarin!

I had to adjust the amounts and ingredients slightly for this recipe, it needed fresh garlic and I used half homemade chicken broth and half water and omitted the bouillon cubes, the taste of the spices mix well with the soup, thanks for sharing Kaarin!...Kitten

I am eating more simply these days, and I really enjoyed this soup! I lightly pureed the soup, leaving chunks of vegetables. I used vegetable bouillion in place of chicken and fresh parsley. Thanks!

A great healthy warming soup! I left out the carrots and celery for just a potato leek soup and used FF chicken broth instead of water, it tasted wonderful. Thanks for this winner Kaarin.

Good winter soup, with plenty of taste. I don't as a rule add the pepper until the end as I find pepper corn can make the soup bitter. That was the only change I made, and it was wonderful! Thank you for sharing this soup recipe with us!
