39 Reviews of Now This is Alice Springs Chicken

Yum! This is one of my favorite restaurant meals. I didn't have time to marinade, so I just liberally brushed the sauce on the breasts before roasting (I also cut the marinade/sauce portion in half). My husband HATES mushrooms, so I left those out, and used all cheddar cheese. It still came out very good; I'm sure with the mushrooms it's probably an exact replica.

My family loved this chicken!! I've never tried the Outback version, so it didn't influence my rating either way. It just sounded yummy when I came across it, so I decided to give it a try! Didn't change a thing! Served it with green beans and a potato dish I found on zaar as well. Thanks for sharing!

This was excellent!! It had a nice rich taste. Yes!! it does have losts of fat but thats what makes it taste OH!! So! Good!! I made it with brussel sprouts and red potatoes. I found that the left overs cooked up well and didn't lose any of the wonderful taste. I have never heard of the dish before but I am so glad I came across this recipe. Thanks homegirl for posting.

This is the recipe I use for Alice Springs Chicken. It is my husband's favorite meal. I use Grey Poupon mustard in the marinade. Before serving I mix the reserved marinade with 1/2 cup mayonaise to make it a bit thicker and creamier for dipping. I serve it with twice baked potatoes and garlic bread. MMM

Wonderful chicken! We loved this recipe and I am sure we will be making it again! I did not change a thing and everything worked out perfectly! Great instructions. We had it as our main course for a celebration dinner and it was perfect.... easy to make and not time consuming! Great Recipe! Thanks homegirl!!

So yummy! I've never had the Outback version either but we really liked this recipe. I had to bake mine a little longer but I had thick chicken breasts. This one will be a repeat recipe here.

My hubby must have said "Man this is good" at least 3 times as he wolfed down his dinner! Aside from forgetting the parsley at the end, I followed the recipe. With all those mushrooms & melted cheese, I didn't think the dipping sauce was necessary ......... I'll keep it for another day. Thanx Homegirl!

I made this last and the whole family loved it. I had to leave the mushrooms off for them, but had them with my serving and it was excellent. I'll definitely be making it again, in fact, I have the chicken marinating right now!

This is wonderful! I used a mild English mustard instead of Dijon, but that's the only change I made. There were no leftovers!
