These burgers are GREAT!! We made completely "as is" and wouldn't change a thing. They grilled up nicely and the flavor is super. This is the 1st burger ever that I didn't put any condiment on - just sliced tomato and some lettuce. That is unbelievable for me because all things need "sauce" of some sort in my opinion. This is a super healty alternative for my family and we plan to make this recipe a lot this summer and will entertain with it too. Grilling is a must. Updated 7/26/08. We adore these burgers and entertain with them all the time now and people go crazy for them! After some testing and different trials of working with the meat mixture (which is kind of sticky) I thought I would add this hint. I will weigh out my meat so that all the patties are approx. the same weight. Then when I'm forming the pattie I will put each burger pattie on it's own square of waxed paper. Then after refrigeration and it's time to grill, my husband can pick up one pattie, flip it onto the grill and then peel back the single square of waxed paper which works like a charm. (It can be hard getting the burgers off the waxed paper to cook but with this method, it's a breeze) This recipe is at the top of my recommend list - hope you try them out too.

What a great way to start off the grilling season. I made these last night and everyone liked them, includiing the 3 yo. I loved the carrots and green onion. The only thing I did differently, was I used egg whites instead of eggs. I used 20 oz of 7% lean meat and adjusted the ingredients for 5 burgers, but ended up with 6. Very moist and tasty. Will add this to my grilling rotation, Thanks for the great recipe.

I made this the other night and they were sensational. My husband and I have been eating healthier these days and I had a craving for a burger. These were just the ticket. I added a little worcestershire sauce for more of a meaty flavor and no bread crumbs to lessen the amount of carbs, but it was still AWESOME!!! Thanks for the great recipe and next time I am looking for a good meal I will definitely check out your recipes first!!!

I love this recipe! I've made them a couple of times...last night I served them with Sweet Baby Rays barbecue sauce and carmelized onions on toasted wheat buns. WOW! I modified the recipe to accomodate my 1.25 pound ground turkey package, reducing the other ingredients too. I suggest freezing the burgers for a couple hours before grilling to make sure they're nice and firm, they will fall through the cracks of a grill!

this was my first attempt at a turkey burger, abd i loved it. The carrots really did add something extra. i didnt have the chance to let them sit aslong as was suggested, but they still tasted great. I also added some finely chopped jarred jalepenos and some chili powder for an extra kick. i will definately do these again. xx

This was my first ever attempt at turkey burgers - loved this recipe! I made it first thing in the morning and let it sit in patties all day - the flavors really blended together. Wasn't sure about the barbecue sauce - so I added a little less than the recipe called for and it worked for me...there was a hint of bbq sauce flavor, but it wasn't overpowering. Served on a whole wheat roll - perfect healthy dinner! Will make again for sure - thanks.

MMMMMMMpwah! Yeah, that's the sound of a big kiss for Kittencal. This is the first time making turkey burgers that both of us actually liked. Awesome low-fat guilt-free burgers. Wonderful with plenty of BBQ on top, and cheese and sliced onions. THANKS!

We've been eating turkey burgers for years and I have a standard recipe that we enjoy. For something different, I decided to try this recipe and I'm glad I did. I made the recipe with no changes and the burgers were moist and delicious. The only change I would make is just using one egg-two seemed to make them a bit too moist and fall apart. Very flavorful-we just loved them and will definitely be making them again!

I went back and forth whether these were a 4 or 5 star for me. I loved the flavors added by the garlic, scallions and barbecue sauce. My patties chilled for 24 hours so the flavors were fully developed and melted into the turkey burger which was a moist and tender as promised. My one small reservation was that I realize that my personal preference is for scant use of breadcrumbs in burgers in general. Given that, I will use just half the stated amount next time. Served mine on light English muffins with and herbed soft cheese, grainy mustard and grilled onions. Thanks for a terrific meal.
