I'm not one to give a fruit salad 5 stars but the combination and flavors here are unique and tasty enough to earn it. While onemight think of pineapples and strawberries or pineapple and coconut together, the tasty threesome is is quite nice. I omitted the sugar and did half the salad with ginger, as suggested by Rita, and half without - both were great - but the ginger made me a convert to this salad.

I tossed all the ingredients adding fresh grated ginger and orange zest. Then chilled and served. this is a great, refreshing dessert, snack or breakfast for those hot summer days.

This was a really good combination. I've had strawberries with orange before, and certainly pineapple with coconut, but never all these flavors together. I didn't add any sugar 'cause everything was plenty sweet without it, and I just mixed rather than layering. I'm looking forward to leftovers with my lunch today!

The combination provides a wonderful taste treat. I made these in individual serving dishes and sprinkled with Splenda instead of sugar and the coconut I used was unsweetened and lightly toasted. I did use less oj than called for in the recipe. A delicious fruit dish for brunch this morning.

This was a very yummy and refreshing fruit salad. I am not a big fan of coconut so I made half with coconut and the other half without. My family really enjoyed this dish and I will be making this again! Great on hot days.

Wow!! I ate the whole thing myself!! This is so tasty! I used Splenda in place of the sugar and you would have never known. I think you could get away with less OJ if you came up short. Mine was pretty juicy.

These are my two favorite fruits, so no doubt did I love this. I didn't use all the sugar and wish I had. . .totally suprising. LOVED the addition of ginger as recommended by some of the others. Very pretty. Served at a dinner party last night. THANKS for a recipe that I will definitely make again. Made for VEG*N tag #4.
