Excellent way to cook corn...only difference I've always used is brown sugar instead of white. Always tender, always sweet ...

KITTENCAL, this is a great recipe and method for cooking for corn on the cob, the corn was so sweet and tender, we loved it! I'll make my corn with this method again and again! thank you.

Corn on the cob cooked with some milk is delicious!! I had tried a similar recipe using just milk and water so thought I would try yours with the additional whipping cream, the corn is nice and sweet as before, but didn't notice much of a difference than when just using milk. I think this is the only way to go when using corn from the store that might not be the freshest, really makes a difference. I served the corn with meatloaf for dinner and it was a big hit, especially for this time of year. The one thing to be careful of when adding milk to boiling the corn is that it will quickly foam up and boil over, so watch carefully until it is simmering. Thanks Kit for another wonderful recipe. Made for Stars Tag.

Excellent corn recipe. Used it on some corn shipped from Florida. This early season corn is usually not to good. Using this recipe the corn turned out tender and sweet. A definite difference from straight boiled corn. I can't wait to try this on some out of the field fresh corn. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I had to try this even though the corn in the store wasn't the greatest. This made the corn very moist with a slight sweet taste. I am going to try it again when the corn is better. Was easy to make. Thanks KITTENCAL. Bullwinkle.

Magnificio! My hubby loves corn but it is so difficult to get "sweet" corn without making it tough! This was simple, good and I used the "cooking water" to boil peeled potato chunks, then lifted out and cooked fresh shelled peas the next day. This recipe made two beautiful side dishes! Thanks for posting!

I cooked the corn as directed. Wonderful way to cook corn, but as I was cleaning up I tried the stock leftover from cooking. It was better then the corn. I think it would be a perfect soup base. Saved the stock to experiment with later. Yummy!

Wow! What a delicious way to enjoy corn, especially before corn is fully in season and still a little bitter. Preparing the corn this way eliminates the need for any additional butter. I loved it and my dinner guests loved it too!

this was the sweetest, most tender corn on the cob i've ever had, and the leftovers made a killer creamed corn the next day. i'll never make corn any other way - thanks for the recipe!
