Fantastic!! I was worried about simmering for 30 minutes, but the meat was awesome. I omitted the celery and used only green pepper. I also cooked the peppers with the onions so they weren't crunchy...just a personal preference. This was delicious and I will surely be making it again!

This was an excellent recipe. The meat was tender and the dish was easy to prepare. However, we did find it very salty. I used light soy sauce as recommended in the recipe. I wonder if it was the beef stock? Be careful to get a brand that has a low sodium count. Still, we really enjoyed this!

I use this same recipe with exception of adding mushrooms either fresh or canned. We eat it over rice with crunchy chow mein noodles. There is never any left overs.

did this recipe as written and we founded it a real delight.i did several pepper steak recipes in the past but must admit this is one of the best. The sauce was succulent, the meat tender.Next time i will try it with fresh italian sausages intead of steak not to improve it but just for a change. Thanks DiB'S

I made this for dinner last night, and it made my husband a very happy man. Actually, I had no peppers, and had to use broccoli instead, so I guess it was more of a broccoli steak. But the meat came out so juicy and tender, I was really pleased with it, and I am not a beef lover. Thanks for posting, I will keep this and make it many more times.

This was a very good recipe. I add about a 1/2 lb. of sliced mushroom, since they were leftovers. It fit perfectly. With hind-sight I think the next time I'll substitute brown sugar for regular sugar. The operative word is Next Time.

I was looking for something else and came across this. The meat was very tender and very good. The sauce was excellent. The reciepe didn't state the size of the can of tomatoes so I used a 28 oz. can. After draning it, it looked to be the right amount. This was really, really good, thanks.
