These turned out absolutely delectable. This is preferable to my usual method (boiling using Betty Crocker's directions) for so many reason's - it is easier, doesn't heat up the kitchen, doesn't hog a burner or dirty a pot. Most important, it actually tastes good! I still think my preferred method (grilling) tastes better, but this is a very close second and is much easier - assuring that I will actually do it. I cooked my 3 ears for a total of 9 minutes.

This is so easy to do! I love it! This is the 2nd time I have done this and the ease of the silk coming off is simply amazing! Thanks for such a great simple recipe, I may never boil corn again!

What a fast and easy way to make delicious corn on the cob! It's especially good for our small family (or just a healthy snack for me) because there's just no fuss or mess. I made 2 ears at 2 1/2 minutes per cycle and they were perfect. I could not believe how easily the silks came off! I'll be using this method again and again.

You don't have to read all 16 reviews! This is the quickest, easiest way ever to cook corn & it comes out perfect. I cut the top silk with kitchen scissors, put 2 ears on a paper towel & cooked them 2 1/2 min for each cycle. They reseted only about 1 minute (until I could pick them up bare handed) and then I ran them under cool water briefly so I didn't burn my fingers when I took the husks off. Served them with margarine and garlic salt & they were delicious.

This is a 10 star recipe! So easy, fast, no shucking mess, no steaming kettle to heat up the kitchen and the corn was absolutely perfect. I made two ears at a time and added about 30 seconds to the cooking time. Where has this recipe been all my life?! Thanks, Mercy, I'll use this often!

I have been doing it this way for years. You don't even have to snip off the silks. It all practially fall off when you run it under the water. I don't know how it could get less than 5 stars, unless someone overcooked it or undercooked it. You will have to adjust the time according to your microwave. At home mine takes 4 min. at work 5 min.

I have never liked corn on the cob. too much work. Taste was ok. Then I tried microwave. I don't go to all this work. I simply stick in 5 minutes on a rotating tray. [800 power] Pull out. Cool a bit. Shuck when I can handle it. Ready to eat. Microwave? Great for making single ears for lunch. Great for a much sweeter flavorful taste. This is what an ear is suppose to taste like. Without all that labor. And you can whip it up in a hurry at the BBQ.

DH shucks first, puts 3 ears in container with a few TBsp water, nukes for 3-4 min., and totally enjoys !! This is the only way the COB stays hot through the meal, and the natural sugars are enhanced. Note : All micros are different - you may have to play with an ear or 2 to find the perfect setting.) ENJOY !

This is an excellant way to prepare corn. I always peel the husk down, remove the silk and pull the husk back up before cooking. When it's ready we pull the husks down and use as a corn holder/handle. Really great recipe.

If I'm not grilling my corn, I've always made it this way only...learned this from my mom. I usually wrap each cob in wax paper.
