This was really good. Used baby yukon golds -cut in half and microwave for 10 min to get them soft then finished off in the oven since i was short on time. Still yummy! Left out the onions (DH does not like) Thanks!

This recipe (minus the onion)is one my husband's family loves! Whenever I make these I can't stop at just one serving. Montreal Steaking Seasoning is very strong smelling on meat, but when baked for such a long time on potatos it changes the flavor of it somehow. It's still recognizable, but softer, blended, caramely, and mixes with the sweetness of roasted potatos perfectly. We usually chunk the potatoes, toss with melted butter and an "eye-full" of the seasoning, bake for 45-60 mins tossing a few times to brown everything, and serve with fish or a roast. No need for ketchup!

This was such an easy side for our dinner this evening. I used baby Yukon gold potatoes that I simply halved instead of slicing and an entire sweet yellow onion. The halved potatoes did take a bit longer to cook than slices would have and allowed the onion to slightly caramelize. I also used less oil, but still came away with great roasted potatoes. Thanks for posting.

Succulent, easy potatoes. I used regular old Idahos - some peeled, some not - with a delicious result. Keeper, for sure.

I'm sorry we didn't like it more. Montreal ssteak seasoning was way to salty for us.

I didn't have any Montreal Steak Seasoning so I used KC Masterpiece Steak Seasoning. And I added a little garlic. Overall they were very good. I think I will cube the potatoes next time unstead of slicing them though.
