This was wonderful! Made for dessert even though I haven't really got a sweet tooth so thought this would be perfect and it was! Also sprinkled with a little freshly ground black pepper, this along with the vinegar is supposed to bring out the sweetness of the berries and it certainly worked for me! Made for ZWT3 '07. Thank you!

Ok, I saw Ina Garten do this on her show and I thought "yuck, what a weird recipe". Yesterday, I came across your recipe and read the reviews and I thought I would throw caution to the wind and try it. Go figure, this is actually good stuff. Be brave people, you will enjoy this. Strawberries have been on sale lately and that made this recipe irresistible. It was very, very hard to keep a teenager out of it for the time it needed to chill. Very successfully served with White Wine Mascarpone. Thanks Pots!

Oh my goodness. You know that feeling you get in the joint of your jaw when something is so tart it threatens to eat the enamel off your teeth, but your tongue tells your jaw and teeth to shut up because it's enjoying the food too much and they are killing it's buzz? You know that feeling? You must have eaten these strawberries before then, because that is exactly the feeling we had while eating them!
