These were great. Every X-mas my Norweigan great-grandmother served bread and butter pickles in a crystal dish. These are the same idea, but a tad more sophisticated in look and flavor. You could easily use 2 cucumbers (or mroe) to the amount of marinade. Yum...they will now be a staple on my holiday table. Great-Grandma would be impressed! Thanks!

The Proof is in the pudding, or in this case the cucumber. Made these up and before I could get a picture, they were already half gone. This is a really refreshing recipe. I did add for color some dried cherries, which also got eaten quite quickly by the way. This recipe a keeper.

I halved the amount of marinade and still had plenty. The pickles were so good though! The allspice is an unexpectedly nice touch. Thanks for sharing.

This is a great recipe: easy, inexpensive, and fast. What more do you want for a summer side, after all. I thought these were delicious and my dinner guests were wolfing them down too. Thanks for posting this; it's a keeper!

These are absolutely fantastic; I love pickled cucumbers and these are wonderful! I especially like the unique flavor that the allspice adds; it's one of my favorite spices and it's used well in this recipe. This is definitely going to be a summer regular in my house. Thanks, Kate!

Loved these cukes! A very refreshing salad and so easy to make! The sweet and sour was right on the money for my family (we all gobbled them up), and the bay leaf and allspice berries provided just a nuance of spice - barely there - but definitely there. Lovely!
