what wonderful waffles! we all love gingerbread and this tasted just the same. we put the bananas and whipped cream on it, then decided we needed a little maple syrup, too. we enjoyed them on a relaxing morning before christmas.

I made this recipe for a Holiday Breakfast for the office. It was a major hit! I even was able to make the batter the night before, so I was ready to go the next morning.

These are an absolute MUST TRY! They are sooooo good! We've never actually made it to the point of putting anything on them....I've made them three times now and each time, the kids and I eat them before they even get to a plate! Thanks for broadening my waffle horizons!

What a wonderful idea. How scrumptious! Can't wait to make them on Christmas morning when visiting family. Used just a tad of maple syrup, a little dollop of whipped cream, and a big glass of milk. So much more flavor then plain ol' waffles. Wait til Eggo gets this idea...

I discovered too late that I was out of oil to make our usual "celebration waffles" and so I searched 'zaar for a recipe to make instead. This recipe was a festive addition to our Christmas breakfast and I will make these again. I served them with whip cream and a sprinkle of Pampered Chef baking spice Baking Spice - Copycat Pampered Chef Cinnamon Plus Mix. I added some mini gingerbread cookies for a sweet treat. Thanks for sharing the recipe! — posted Dec 27, 2004

This is a Sunday morning favorite--we like them sprinkled with powdered sugar. Thanks for the great recipe!

We loved these waffles. Adding bananas and whipped cream put them right over the top in my opinion but my husband enjoyed with just plain maple syrup. We will definitely make again.

Simply perfect for an autumnal tea time. I served ours with creamy fromage frais and apple puree. I made them in an electric toasted sandwich maker with the waffle plates fitted. The children have already requested I make these again!

We tried these waffles Christmas morning, but I found them rather sweet for my liking. I will make them again but put less molasses and sugar in them.
