Easy Easy Easy and Fast to make. And healthy too. My husband who took this in his lunch swears that it tastes good cold too. If you buy the onions pre-chopped and the chicken is already cooked, there is less than five minutes prep time. It smells SO good while it is cooking. I like the fact that you can buy the ingredients in bulk and make it at any time. This will become our "comfort food" too.

Wow what a fast and yummy meal!!!!! I used shredded already cooked chicken from Schwan's. I'll stock up on frozen onions, and it will even be faster!! I am going to fix this when we have after school activities that take us away from our evening routine. Fast and healthy.....

I made this last night with some leftover Thanksgiving turkey and it was absolutely delicious! My husband loved it. I did have a little extra time so I let it simmer an extra 20 minutes or so. I also served it over rice, to stretch it a little further. For the reviewers who would like to cut down on the salt, McCormick's sells a reduced-sodium taco seasoning - I used one envelope of this and the salt was just right. Thanks for a great recipe!

This is delicious and so easy to cook. High in fiber and protein. Actually makes 8 one cups servings so the calories are even lower. I cut the sodium in half by using all low-sodium canned items and rinsed the beans. Thanks to the taco seasoning - you don't need any salt. This can easily be made vegan. I made this last night for dinner, and my husband and I loved it! I used canned chicken, and we added some shredded Mexican blend cheese, and it was so yummy! The kids weren't too fond of it, but oh well. We have some left over, but we might be fighting over who gets it!

Really easy and fast to make. I tossed a whole chicken in a pot with water and a couple of bouillon cubes, cooked it, cooled it, pulled off the meat to use in the recipe, used some of the stock for the recipe, and now have more stock to use for other good things. The rest I did according to the recipe. Very good, healthy ingredients too. A nice one to have found on accident!

Excellent! I expected it would be too mild for my spice-loving family, but it packed plenty of punch. I agree with Donut Chef, though- next time I"ll use the low-sodium versions. I only deviated from the recipe above by adding a dash of Bragg's liquid aminos. This one's a keeper!

I made this one day last week and my family really liked it. The only thing I did different was to run my diced tomatoes through the food processor and I used rotel instead of the green chilies (also run through the processor). The best compliment came later in the week when I sent some to my husband's grandmother, who is known for her cooking. She called me and told me that it did not matter how much the ingredients cost she would buy them if I would make her more! Of course I told her not to worry I would make her some without her paying for it! Thanks for an easy recipe that also tastes great!

HOLY SMOKES! This is the best stew/chili I have ever had. No need to make any changes. I bought the onion in the frozen section, already diced and chopped. Still tasted good.

This was so good! My DW and I hate half one night with chips and the next night rolled in flour tortias. We like our food spicy, so I did add some ground red pepper flakes and a couple of dashes of hot sauce. We served is with melted cheese and sour cream. You can't beat this recipe, thanks for posting.
