Really great comfort food! Instead of the water and cream, I used 1 1/2 cups of milk. Otherwise made exactly as written. This will be made often in our house.

My family liked this and no leftovers. The meat was flavorful and tender. The gravy was great didn't taste like cream of mushroom soup gravy. Thanks Marsha D. Bullwinkle.

I have made this recipe several times and it is always wonderful. The only thing I do differently is tear up the cube steak in chunks before I season and cook them. I like doing this and then putting over mashed potatoes with the gravy, you get a bite of meat with potatoes and gravy. I am going to fix them tonight. Thanks for a great recipe!

I made this last night for dinner, and everyone, including my picky teenage son, really loved it. It was relatively simple, used ingredients I had on hand, and got rave reviews from the family. I call that a success!

This recipe was easy and good. I added onion, and a package of mushroom gravy to the soup. I used Campbells beefy mushroom soup. By the way, I never skimp on soup for my casseroles and dishes. Campbells is always the best and it is sooo creamy. This dish would have been so much better had I had some good beef. Buying good meat in a market is like buying a pig in a poke. After all the simmering....it was tuff. Not my fault nor the recipes! My son said..."the flavor was great". I will make this again, and hopefully get a better cut of meat or a better market! lol. Thank you Marsha D.

Marsha, I have to tell you this recipe is excellent! I admit I didn't make it myself, my daughter has been doing the cooking lately and she prepared this for the family. It came out fork tender and the flavor was mouth watering. We will be making this a lot! Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

I doubled this recipe, used a packet of onion soup mix, placed fried cube steak in a 13x9 casserole dish, poured the hot gravy over it and baked for 30 minutes...served with fried onion mashed potatoes...yummy and I received compliments throughout the meal...thx 4 sharing

I think that one of the best compliments of a dish is how dirty the recipe card it, and my copy is filthy!!!! The kids and I LOVE this recipe and make it often. It's true comfort food. Thanks Marsha, but the family thinks it's my own creation!!!

This is the best cube steak recipe I have ever tried! They have a wonderful flavor and are tender! I did not use the cup of water, I used 1 cup of milk instead. I also added some Lipton's Beefy Onion Soup Mix. It was absolutely fabulous!!
