I've not tasted the Applebee's dip but my daughter has and loves it. She loves this tasty version (so do I) just as well and is thrilled that I found such a similar recipe. No-Cream Alfredo Sauce #128560 (kept at thick consistency) worked excellently as one ingredient in this Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip. Thanks for sharing a great recipe!

This is a very nice tasting dip. I'm not a big fan of strong tasting dips and tried making a different artichoke recipe I ended up thorwing out for that reason. This one is not too strong and not too mild and a great one to fine tune later to your own tastes. Changes I Made: For the alfredo sauce all I used Bertolli Mushroom Alfredo. For the spinach sinced I made half the recipe only I used 1 (14 oz) can of spinach drained very well. That amounts to a little over 1/2 a cup of spinach when drained which was perfect. For the cheese I used a grated Italian mix which had both cheeses in the recipe and one extra, I think it was agasio. Definite keeper, Thanks!

I fell in-love with Applebee's version the first time I tried it. However, after using this recipe, I realized that this one is soooo much better than the restraunts version. I usually end up doubling the recipe when I have a gathering, and so far, everyone (even those that hate spinach) have loved it.

This was excellent. I used dried Parmesan cheese (you know-the shake-kind) and added a bit more alfredo sauce, spinach and artichokes, due to the sizes available. Re-heats well in micro-wave. (I hid some just for ME!)Do not expect left-overs.

This is great! I went one step further one night to dress up boring chicken. I pounded chicken breasts really thin and then filled them with this dip and rolled them up and baked them topped with swiss cheese and bread crumbs. The anti veggie people in my house loved it. Thanks! Cheryl in NJ

This dip is amazing, even tastier than Applebee's. The first time I made it, I squeezed the moisture out of the thawed spinach, which made the dip WAY too thick and dry. Now I don't drain/squeeze the spinach at all, and the consistency is perfect. I do everything as directed, except I usually sprinkle a little more parmesan cheese and some chopped red onion on top of the dip when it comes out of the oven. Everyone loves this dip; it's absolutely addictive!

Followed the recipe exactly; best spinach and artichoke dip recipe I've tried so far. I liked it much better the the highest rated recipe on this site (uses mayo, ugh, yuck). Added some salt because I used Trader Joe's Alfredo sauce and they're usually a bit bland for my taste (but perfect to season perfectly to my taste).

I double the ingredients for this the receipe for a gathering that I had. Everyone loved it, including my cousin who loves the Applebee's version. She wanted a copy of this receipe. I would do this receipe again. Thank you!

If this didn't have the artichoke hearts it would taste just like what they make at Cheddars. I again did not use the artichokes and it was still a great dip. This recipe is a keeper. Made for Fall PAC '07.
