Was looking for a new apple recipe, something easy to pop in my lunch. This was it! I added some oatmeal to the crumb topping for added crunch. I may add more apple next time too.

These were really good. I made according to directions, but halfway through baking (after one batch) I added about 1-2 t. of cinnamon to the batter and (just personal preference) prefer the ones with the cinnamon in the batter.

These little muffins were great! I loved the texture (soft and fluffy) and taste (warm and apple-y). I added some apple pie spice just to make it taste more like an apple pie, but otherwise followed the recipe. The only downside (minor and purely cosmetic) was that the muffins didn't have that nice high dome-their tops were rather flat but it didn't affect their taste any! Editing to add that I made them again but added 2 tsp of baking powder. They rose nice and high and looked as good as they tasted.

I made these over the weekend for DH lunch. He walked in the door last night and said these were the best, most moist muffins ever. He went on and on. He said to give it more then 5 stars. The only thing i did different was to use apple sauce instead of oil (healthier) and i added more apples. Thanks for posting Dotty This one is a keeper!!!

Made some changes to cut down on fat and bump up nutrition. I cut the butter in the topping to 2 T. and it was plenty. For the muffins, I used only 1 cup brown sugar, and they are plenty sweet. May cut back even more next time. Used only 1/4 cup oil, and the rest applesauce. Used part whole grain flour, and used flax and water instead of an egg. Also added spices to the muffin batter. The flavor is excellent, and I bet they will taste even better tomorrow. Thanks for the nice, adaptable recipe that comes out well even with many changes. I have to amend my comments after letting these muffins sit for several hours. They tasted too sweet right after coming out of the oven even though I cut back on the sugar, but now they seem just right. I don't think now that I'd use less than the 1 cup brown sugar. Delicious.

This was a great recipe and my friend's kids absolutely loved the muffins! I took the advice of a few other reviews and made a couple of changes: I reduced the sugar in the batter to 1 Cup. Grated the apples instead of dicing them. And added about 1/4 Cup of oats to the topping. I have already made the muffins twice & have another request for more. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

These muffins were delicious! Very moist. I used granny smith apples and added some cinnamon, cloves and freshly grated nutmeg to the muffin mixture for extra flavour. Thanks for a great muffin recipe!

I made these exactly as posted and they were so scrumptious! The only problem I had with them is that they fell apart easily while taking them out of the pan. Next time I make them, I'll use muffin paper liners. I'd recommend eating these on the 2nd day, that's when they taste the best! Thanks for the recipe Dotty! YUM YUM

Terrific recipe!! I really like them and will make them again often!! I added a bit more apple to it. I got 24 regular sized muffins and 12 mini mufins out of the recipe. They will be perfect to take to work!

These are our new favourite breakfast muffins! I followed other reviewers suggestions and used applesauce in place of the oil and added some cinnamon and an extra 3/4 cup of apple to the batter. It made 12 good sized muffins. Can't wait to make them again!
