VERY GOOD! I have been on a breakfast kick, and this dish was tasty and filling! I used Hot sausage, pepper Jack cheels and added some chopped onions to the mixture as well. Hearty meal and I will be making this again soon!
Thank you.

This recipe is wonderful!
I made this recipe this morning and my husband just couldn't wait til it was done. His favorite things are potatoes and gravies so this is one of the reasons this recipe caught my eye.
Thanks for sharing!!

This is really great! I halved the recipe and it worked great. Even with halving it I used 2 Tbsp flour and 2 cups milk for the gravy. I also added the full amount of cheese, because we love cheese. You could doctor this up if you like things more spicy by using hot sausage or adding jalapenos or whatever. We also had an idea to try it with hamburger meat instead of sausage for a dinnertime casserole. All that to say, it was a success at our house. Thanks for the great recipe!

This is very good!! I wasn't sure of the size of hash brown package to use, so I used 1 1/2 26 oz. packages. Also used 2 cups of milk and made it in a 11x14 pan. This was definitely easy and very tasty! We had it for dinner with biscuits and we had plenty of leftovers...I might just 1/2 the recipe next time, because it does make alot! But it was very easy, very yummy and a sure DH pleaser!

This made a very easy, delicious breakfast dish. I browned the sausage last night and refrigerated it. Then this morning all I had to do was reheat it and make the gravy. Assembling and cooking the casserole was a breeze. Mornings are always so hectic and it's wonderful to have recipes like this that come together so easily. We love sawmill gravy and it really made this dish special. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I was really skeptical when I read this but I wanted to make something for Sunday morning breakfast with some hashbrowns that I already had. I had some swiss cheese slices that needed to be used so I added that and just a little bit of cheddar. This dish is a hit at our house! Great side dish for fried eggs and biscuits.

This was good, though I forgot to layer the cheese between the hash browns and gravy, so I added it on top. It did seem to be missing something...though not sure what yet. Oh I did add some finely diced onion when I browned the sausage, out of habit from the recipe I normally use for Sausage Gravy.

Yummmm. I made this for my Easter brunch everyone loved it. I did use more milk than called for. Will definitely make again. Updated. I used one 26 oz bag of shredded hashbrowns and it was perfect. I like that this one does not have to be made ahead of time. Sometimes you need a great breakfast now, not tomorrow!
