Everyone raved that this was better than Olive Garden's soup. I took "Satisfied Kris'" advise and added a can of beef broth. If you plan on eating this a little at a time, I'd not add the noodles right away because they absorb all the juice. Will make again for sure! Thanks

I've been making this recipe for years, found it on a copy cat web site. We don't eat beef, so I substitute turkey sweet Italian sasuage for the ground beef. Remove the sasuage from the casings and continue with the rest of the recipe. SOUP-er yummy!!

I made this soup for my family, and for a ladies fall luncheon. It was wonderful. Be ready to share the recipe. I make it a day ahead, and let flavors combine. I also leave cooked pasta out until serving, or ladle soup over pasta that is already in each individual soup bowl for each serving. I added 2 c beef broth, and will try the red wine suggestion next time. I love soup, and this is a winner soup for all ages! Thank you so much! ps- Don't forget to have grated parmesan cheese available for topping the soup.

We loved this dish! Unfortunately there are only two of us, and a recipe like this is hard to do just half of. I figured out that it's best to add the pasta to the individual bowls just before serving, so that I can freeze the rest of the "soup" part. Then I just thaw, reheat and add fresh pasta for a meal next time! I omitted the celery just because I didn't have any, but we didn't miss it! What a wonderful mix of flavors - and I loved the little bite it had to it! I served it with a salad and breadsticks. Thanks for sharing such a great recipe.
We will definitely make this again (when we finish the leftovers).

Thank you for a great recipe! It tastes wonderful! I added a 1/3 cup red wine, mainly for an excuse to open it, and a can of water when I added the pasta since it is a thick soup. The only difference I would make next time is to cut the salt to 1 teaspoon rather than 1 1/2. I love the flavors; they combined beautifully. Thank you, Big Sis, for a recipe I'll make again soon!

Magnificent Soup! Actually it's so much like a stew I added 2 cups of beef broth after I added the pasta. Would eliminate the salt the next time I make it because of the salt in the broth and other canned items. BUT IT WAS STILL WONDERFUL! Great taste and it made over 6 quarts. Followed the recipe exactly except I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes with onion and garlic (that's all I had). Thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable dinner!

This was wonderful. The aroma while it was simmering was fantastic. I cooked the onion, celery and garlic w/the beef rather than after. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Thanks!

This soup is fantastic. I browned up the meat the night before so in the morning I just tossed it all ( less the noodles)into a slow cooker set on low and left for work. When we got home it smelled great and I tossed in the noodles and let them cook. By the time they were done the table was set and the kids were playing and my husband came home to a great evening. Thanks for this one.!!!

This is a really great recipe. It is a lot like the Olive Garden recipe. I forgot the white beans, so i used all red.
