Delicious! I found I had to add a lot more oil to get it to the right consistency. I also added a generous squeeze of honey. I will be making this frequently.

Good recipe and so easy to make for everyone not keen on the trans fats they put in commercial nut butters. I used almond oil as I happened to spot some in the supermarket instead of the oil specified, but as this is the first time I have made this, I don't know if it tastes better. Cheers for this one, Chelle.

Works great, much better than blanching and skinning them. They don't grind down very well that way. The skins are good for you anyways. I didn't roast them this time and used 4 T Smart Bal. oil and 1/8 tsp salt. Turned out pretty darn good! I will try roasting my raw almonds next time and see if I like it better.

Fabulous! This tastes great even with unroasted almonds. Why spend $5.00 for a jar of almond butter in the supermarket when you can make it at home for a fraction of the cost in less than 5 minutes? I will be using this recipe often.

Delicious. I had a carton of pre-roasted almonds and just needed the recipe to make it into butter. I'll be making my own almond butter from now on instead of buying peanut butter - thanks!

Positively scrumptious! Be sure to roast the nuts, it really brings out the flavour. Oh, and thank you for posting this recipe. I have been wanting to try almond butter, but at $12 a jar I did not it probable I should have the oppurtunity anytime soon.

Very simple but good! I sometimes roast my almonds for enhanced flavour. Thank you.

I was going to buy almond butter for another Zaar recipe, but read the label and saw egg white. Egg white?! So I tried this. My processor is kind of wimpy and that may be why I had to double the oil. But it turned out great, though I think I'll use less salt next time. Thanks! Reviewed for Healthy Choices ABC tag game.

Absolutely fantastic! I make a double recipe each time--and twice a week! My favorite dessert is mixing 1/2 c. plain fat free yogurt with 2-3 Tbsp. of almond butter with a sprinkle of stevia mixed in. Thank you SO much for this recipe!
