This was really good, the flavor went throughout the entire piece of chicken, not just the skin. I dumped the bag into my crockpot and cooked on high for about 3 1/2 hours or so - it was just perfect. May I suggest throwing in some rice the last half hour of cooking to go with all that delicous sauce? Thanks for a great OAMC-to-crockpot recipe, Tish!

Amazing, the family loves this. Thank you Trish, it's such a welcome change from the regular baked chicken. I served it with cornbread and cooked carrots as a veggie (carrots were all I had on hand at the time) and a green salad. It all came together beautifully!! Will use this again.

EXCELLENT!! My DH rated this in this way. It is great with a little heat, when you first tasted it you can really taste the apricot jam, and then the taco seasoning comes and kicks it in the a@%! I made this with homemade taco seasoning mix, and homemade salsa and sugar free apricot jam. Very good it is definately a keeper! Thanks for sharing.

Yummy! we loved the flavour of this and it could not be easier. I used a jar of eveln/athen's apricot jam from the last RSC contest Apricot-Citrus Preserves and my own taco seasoning Bulk Taco Seasoning Mix and threw everything in a ziploc bag into the freezer. One morning I dumped the entire bag into my crockpot and let it cook all day. I came home to a delicious meal and my house smelled terrific. I used chicken leg quarters this time but I plan to try breasts or thighs in the future. Thanks for sharing

Great for OAMC!! I used Bonless Skinless chicken breasts and it turned out GREAT! I used a chunky salsa and I think I will use a smoother one next time, but thats just my family's preference.

I am totally impressed with this recipe, because it is incredibly easy and deeee licious. I used the crock pot--threw all ingredients in, stirred, and cooked on high for 3 1/2 hours. This will become an old standby. I served with corn recipe # 161110, and it was a great combination.

Very good chicken! I cooked it in the crockpot for 3 and a half hours on high and it was still nice and moist, I stabbed the chicken with a knife a few times before cooking it so it had tons of flavor. I served it with tiny acini de pepi pasta, it is tiny little pasta balls, and steamed baby artichoke, great meal.

Very easy and tasty! It worked as advertised & was a hit. Served it over white rice (the sauce was very nice mixed in with the rice) and green salad.

This was really good! My family (myself, hubby and 5 year old) really like it. I have to say I was skeptical at first, I mean, taco sauce and apricot jam?? But the flavor in the end was fantastic! I served this with rice and it was a hit. Awesome easy meal. Thanks for posting this!

Thank you Tish. This is a keeper in my OAMC. Very easy to do and cooks up well. I made this 2 week ago and I cooked it in the crock pot for 5 hours on low. It was soooo nice to walk into the house and smell this. We had it with steam rice. All plate clean and happy faces all round.
