I made this tonight for our good friends and neighbours who came to dinner. This was so simple to assemble earlier on, refrigerate as suggested, then pop in the oven when we were about to eat. I may have overcooked it slightly as we chatted and drank our wine, but we fought over every last piece anyway!

Last night we had a wine & snack "dinner" with this as one of our snacks. So delish! We are having the rest with our roast today. Followed recipe except I added some garlic powder to the mixture. Will fix this a lot!!

Waaaay too buttery. I'm kind of grossed out, actually. And I love butter. I think you could cut it in half and be fine. I was really pressed for time, so I used onion flakes. I think that was a decent shortcut.

NUMMY!!! This recipe was so delicious, it almost didn't make it to the broiler....As I was putting the mixture on the bread, I tried it on everything in sight, pita, crackers, etc... I loved it and so did our company who requested the recipe. Thanks for a different way of serving bread!

What a great result for such minimal effort! I cooked 2 slices immediately to serve with a salad for an excellent light lunch, refrigerating the rest. In the rush of getting dinner on the table, we almost forgot the second batch. By the time it was 'rescued', it was a lot crunchier than the first time — and tasted even better! Like many others, I added garlic and would definitely recommend that. Thanks to AAIS for this yummy, super-easy recipe!

I personally didn't make this recipe yet, but my Mother did last weekend and it was a huge hit! Very easy to put together, plop in the fridge and then cook it when your guests arrive. Hats off to An American In Spain for a great appetizer recipe. I'm hoping to make this for my DS's b-day in the summer for a quick appetizer.

AWESOME! This was a huge hit with our guests! I followed the recipe to a T--didn't add any garlic because I think each guest ate about 10 cloves on their own with the rest of the meal!! LOL! Thanks for a good recipe!
