All I can say Kittencal is delicious, delicious, delicious. This is the best garlic bread I have ever made and I have made a lot. My aunt and uncle were visiting us and we all love spaghetti so I made this to go with it. There were only two slices left; so four of us ate the whole long loaf. I made the garlic/butter mixture before we went to church so that it would be all ready and flavors blended. I used three cloves of garlic and WOW! was it good. It was so easy to make and the heating time was exactly 15 minutes. We all loved it. Thank you so much for posting this recipe. From now on I will make no other garlic bread than this. I am already thinking what I can have for supper this week to accompany this terrific bread.

This was excellent Garlic Bread. I did lightly toast the open faced loaf in the oven before I spread on the mixture.Crunchy all the way through this way. I also simply baked it open faced on a cookie sheet for ten minutes and a low broil for 1 1/2 minutes for color. Hands down the highlight at the dinner table exceeding the reviews on the Spaghetti sauce I spent two days making !! Oh yeah,I did'nt see the Oregano in the instructions so I still added it.Wow......

I can't believe I haven't rated this yet! Fantastic and my absolute new favorite way to make garlic bread. I use fresh parsley and make extra batches and freeze it. If I want the bread crispier, I open the foil on the top and bake it a minute or two longer. Excellent!!

Kittencal what wonderful garlic bread. I made up exactly as directed. Love the butter smeared over the top before warming. Served with Uncle Bill's Green Split Pea with Hambone Soup Uncle Bill's Green Split Pea With Hambone Soup for a delicious meal that the whole family enjoyed. I'll definitely be making these to store in the freezer. I would like to try some with the addition of some chilli flakes but saying that your recipe is perfect as is. Thanks for sharing.

This is the way I have been making my Garlic bread for years! Although, I do not wrap in foil. I slice the loaf length-wise, allow to heat in the oven for 15 minutes, allowing buttered side and crust to toast. Then when removed from the oven, I slice into serving sized pieces and serve in a towel lined bread basket. Thanks for posing, Kittencal!

Gosh I hate to be the lone man out, but dh and I did not like this at all. I'm sorry to rate it this low. We felt like it tasted mushy and heavy. DH said he likes his bread garlicky and light. Sorry!

I used to make this in college whenever we had pasta, and I lost the recipe but still make variations of this recipe whenever I need a spread for bread. The bread disappears off the plate. You can't have plain garlic bread after you taste this alternative. Thanks for posting this Kittencal!
