Always on the hunt for veggie burgers without breadcrumbs in them and this fit the bill. I swiched up the timing of ingredients in the food processor. Letting the beans and oatmeal go in first for 2-3 pulses then adding the other ingredients. I think that gave me a burger that had a little more from the veggies but still enough binding together from the beans. The results were 4 rather large burgers that were just nummy — could easily have made 6 instead. I enjoyed that the flavors on these were a bit more neutral than some others as it lent it to each person being able to add toppings to suit their tastes. This will become a staple for me.

These were soooo good. I left out the ketchup (just forgot it really) and still thought these were excellent. I put the shredding blade on my food processor and did the carrots into the bowl. Then I switched to the regular blade and added the other ingredients. I chopped them, but not finely. Then I put it all in the fridge and pulled out what I needed. I had doubled the recipe and it worked fine. I loved being able to broil them, though I did turn them over to try to get both sides a bit crunchy. Really good and easy homemade veggie burger.

These were OK. DH is really the reviewer here, and he didn't care for the taste too much, thinking they were too beany. Also, from a texture standpoint, I don't have a food processor, so had to use a blender. It's pretty hard to use a blender for something like this, and I ended up with something way too finely chopped, which made for a really mushy kind of burger. I would suggest that these burgers not be made until you have a food processor and can better control the consistency of the chopping.

These also fell apart for me like crazy the fist time, but the next time I added bread crumbs and egg whites and they stay together! I also add more ingredients like black beans, corn, and tempeh. I cook them imediately though (bake for 30 min), then freeze them. That way about 45 seconds in the microwave is all I need to prepare them for eating.

These taste great. Actually, I ate a lot of the raw batter, too, becasue that tasted great. But I had troubles bar-b-q-ing these because they never really got crisp, more mushy. It worked better in my oven. Would probably work even better in a frying pan, like a fritter. I get a lot of compliments for these.

This was really very good. i left out the ketchup and made double the quantity. i didn't use a carrot but used more red peppers instead. I think I used more veggies than I should have as it wasn't really crunchy or crispy - it was a bit soft like a pate but I think thats my fault for messing up the proportion of veggies to oats. Overall - great - will make again. Thanks!

I also had to use a few substitutions. Had no mushrooms, used olives. Out of onion, so used Onion Salt for both of those ingredients. But, found a way to make them crispy - My George Grill. They're nice & dark on the outside, and cooked through on the inside. Not at all mushy when they were done. The grill also flattened them out a bit, but then they fit on my bread for a nice sandwich. Thanks!

I really enjoyed these veggie burgers. I used chck peas b/c I didn't have kidney. Added corn instead of mushrooms. Went heavy on the onion and garlic. Used roasted red peppers. Added chile sauce instead of ketchup. Made 5 large and filling burgers. Next time I'll make 6. I used the egg and bread crumb hint. Pan fried - they were so good I ate them plain. Thanks!
