I cater many events, and this is the favorite salad. The only change I do make is, I add white vinegar to the dressing. It makes a sweet sour taste which keeps everyone coming back for more, plus they want the recipe... Thank you for posting it....

I made this salad as a side dish to our dinner tonight and it was delicious. Hubby even commented on how wonderful it was. The best part was how fast and easy it was to make! The only thing I did differently was instead of red wine vinegar, I used balsamic vinegarette. Absolutely a keeper! Thanks so much.

I love this salad! The cheese, bacon and mayo combo really sing in this. I mixed cauliflower and broccoli and used tarragon vinegar as I was out of red wine vinegar. Thanks for sharing!

This was terrific!! I made this for my husbands birthday BBQ this past weekend and everyone loved this recipe. The night before I just mixed the broccoli and sauce together, and then the next morning I added the bacon, cheese and onions. I wanted the sauce to help soften up the broccoli but, only the broccoli. Thank you for sharing this recipe!!

Great salad! We just loved it. The only thing I changed was I blanched the broccoli so it was still very crisp, but not raw. I plan on making a triple recipe this weekend for company. Thanks!

This salad was delicious. I boiled the broccoli for about 5 minutes and added President's Choice horseradish mayonnaise together with the regular mayo. I also used about one tbsp. of sugar instead of 1/4 cup. Another great recipe from Recipezaar. A healthy meal that tastes good. Thank you so much. I love you -Recipezaar.

What an incredible side dish! I cut the onions into very thin rings and then cut the rings into quarters, since my family is finicky if there are "big" pieces of onion. This was extremely easy to make, tasted wonderful, and disappeared within no time. I will definitely make again.

This was really good. I added a little more vinegar and mayo than called for, and it was sooo good. This is a definite keeper.

Made for the Best of 2008 Tag Game ~ We are esp fond of broccoli salads as a way to combine the salad & veggie parts of a meal. This is a good one ~ an easy-fix that is ingredient + family-friendly & ideal for a pot-luck occasion. Using my Red Wine Vinegar (Copycat), I made the recipe as written but altered the prep slightly. I prefer to make salads like this ahead & allow their flavors to blend. This also has the advantage of tenderizing the raw broccoli vs blanching it as suggested by some reviewers. I made it early in the day & grated cheese in a salad will always turn to mush if left to sit for any length of time, so it was added just prior to serving & worked well. Because of this, I suggest making an amt you expect to eat all at once vs allowing for any leftovers. Thx for sharing this tasty recipe w/us.

Excellent taste and texture. I have eaten this recipe numerous times when someone else made it, but never tried to make it myself for some reason. I took some over to my mother's to try and she loved it. She doesn't eat much fresh broccoli since she lives alone and I am always looking for fresh veggie recipes to share with her. Tasted great the next day too! Thanks for posting.
