I keep meaning to rate this recipe. I found it so long ago and use it at least every week or so. I LOVE it. The smell of it alone is yummy. Thank you so much for sharing this, it's for sure found its place in our home and will be used and passed on :D P.S. it's only my husband and I and our toddler..so I usually make half and freeze the other half of the uncooked dough. It freezes and cooks up just as good as fresh!

I made these this evening since I love breadsticks and was looking for a good recipe to make and freeze. I will definitly be making these to store! They were great! They browned nicely, in about 15 min for me, they have great flavor and they were light and fluffy. Five stars in my book. My other half LOVED them too. He gave it two thumbs up and mumbled something, his mouth was full so I am guessing it was something good ;o)

These are wonderfull and didnt last long in my kitchen. Dh came home from work the next day and finnished them off with some marinia sauce. I dont have a bread machine and just used my kitchen aide mixer to mix the ingrediants and let the bread rise normaly. The smell wonderful when baking.

Marie, these were incredibly awesome! I served them with stuffed shells and they were just perfect. I twisted two pieces together to make braids, so I ended up with 12. They didn't look like they doubled even after 35 minutes of rise time, but after baking they were nicely risen and soft. I baked them for about 20 minutes. The whole family agreed these were the best. Thanks for posting!

OMG! These were so tasty--just like a restaurant breadstick! Thank you so much. SO easy to prepare also. Our kids even loved them (which I worried about--garlic/spices). Not a single breadstick left after dinner. (BTW: I didn't have bread flour, so I used all-purpose and still had success.)

Wow these are just perfection!! Soft pillows of breadstick love!!! Will be making them lots around here, I dont have a bread machine, so I mixed them up in the kitchenaid, then let them rose for 1.5 hours then followed the rest of the recipe. Perfection!! Cant wait to try some of your other bread recipes! Thanks for sharing.

These were really good! They made the entire house smell so good. I don’t have a bread machine so I made these in my kitchen aid. Starting with the water then the yeast sugar salt butter, blended the flour with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning, added to the yeast mixture and needed for about 10 to 15 minutes, let rise for about 45 minutes then made them into bread sticks let them rise again for 30 minutes and baked them. Thank you for the tastiest bread sticks.

These are delicious! Another winner Marie
I followed the recipe exactly, except I didn't twist my dough.. I just made them into long straight ropes. I added butter, parmesan and garlic salt after baking for 12 minutes and they turned out almost exactly like the breadsticks from the Olive Garden. Deliicous, soft and flavorful!

I made these to go with Chicken Parmesan & Roasted Asparagus. They were my husband's favorite part of what turned out to be an incredible meal. The only changes I made were to substitute Splenda for 1/2 of the sugar and wheat flour for 1/3 of the bread flour. Delicious. Thanks a bunch.
