Very good fish and chips! I used brown ale in the batter and tilapia cut into 1" strips for the fish. Next time I may consider double dipping in the batter to get a more consistent, slightly thicker batter. Great!

Easy, good and crunchy. Hubby fried the fish and commented on how well it stuck to the fish. Kid-friendly, too.

This is an excellent beer battered fish recipe! I make fish and chips a lot and I have searched high and low for a recipe I like. This takes the cake! I only had to use one can of beer, and for fish, I used lingcod. Thank you!!

Fantastic!! My family is not big on fish but I didnt have any leftovers with this. Coating was very light and crispy. Use COLD Beer so you can drink whats left!!

This turned out just great the first time I made it. The 2nd time it didn't adhere to the fish very well. Then I realized I had not coated the fish in flour - Duh! Just thought I would point out that this is a most necessary step. This recipe is a keeper!

Man I'm losing it, I swear I've reviewed this recipe before (this is the second time in a week!). Took me a while to find it, but it's so good I couldn't quit looking till I did. This is the perfect batter for real fish and chips, not the crap the sell in restaurants most places outside of the northeast and Michigan. Thanks so much for posting, I've been fiending every since we moved 8 years ago!
