Really tasty and colorful! I cut down on the sugar and only used 1.5 cups. I also substituted red pepper for the green.

I wanted a recipe quick, easy and good. This was it. It was a hit with friends and neighbors, they wanted the recipe. I thought the sugar and salt was a bit much and cut them in half. And I used kosher salt instead of table salt and raw apple cider vinegar. They are so good. Thanks Janet.

These were so simple to make and I wish I had made them earlier when I could get more cucumbers. I followed the recipe except I added a hot chili pepper to the bottom of each pint jar for a little kick. Next time I will use the thicker disc on my cuisinart slicer. I had leftover sliced cucumbers and an almost empty jar of store bought pickles. I heated up the juice from the store bought pickle jar, poured them over the remaining slices. I served these the next day and they were great. I also add a bit of juice from sweet pickles in my potato salad. Gives it a real boost! Thanks Janet.

Oh boy are these good..omitted the green pepper and the salt and used 1 tbsp. celery salt. I also replaced the 2 cups sugar with 1 1/2 cups Splenda. I'm so impressed with this method! Thanks!

Excellent for salads or sandwiches and the more they pickle, the better they are. Unwaxed cucumbers are the best!

Sorry, these were very sweet and just did not have much taste, I don't think I would make them again anytime soon, thanks anyway, Kittencal

I came back from a trip and had a LOT of cucumbers in the garden. I made these pickles and they are not only delicious and easy, they are also really beautiful in the jar.
