I used fast cooking oatmeal (not instant I promise!) and just made 1 serving. I used 1 tbsp. peanut butter and not quite a tbsp. of honey. I left out the splenda because I thought it was sweet enough. Nice way to start the morning. It's neat to see the very thick peanut butter melt in with the hot oatmeal!

I thought I would like this, but it turned out I loved it! I ended up using some brown sugar, to taste, rather than Splenda because we don't use artificial sweeteners. It was terrific, though- lovely peanut butter-honey flavor and I really appreciated the extra protein boost. It reminded me of peanut butter cookies or peanut butter pie or some other wonderful peanut buttery food. I sometimes have trouble with oatmeal - it tends to be so bland. This added great flavor without just adding huge amounts of brown sugar (what I usually do). Anway, thank you for posting this, I loved it and it's a keeper in my book.

Wonderful! Besides tasting great, the peanut butter adds a great protein boost. Very filling breakfast, great for those cold mornings. Would be popular with the kids, too. Thanks for the recipe!

Delicious! Used natural PB & added some cinn cuz I love cinn! Easy & filling, too. Might try topping it with a sliced banana next time!

I, too, love peanut butter and honey together on a sandwich and they make a great oatmeal! I cut this down to one serving and used 1 tbl honey and no Splenda. Really delicious and I will be making again. Thanks!

What a nice change from plain oatmeal. I used to love PB & honey sandwiches, too. I had a little added bonus in mine this morning. I used crunchy peanut butter, so the addition of peanut pieces was nice. Made for Spring 2008 PAC.

Saw mikekey's picture on PAC 08 and had to try it myself. I made it with steel oats and think next time I'll also add the peanut pieces. A great blend of flavors, felt like I was eating an oatmeal-PB cookie. I too left out the splenda and it was plenty sweet. This is going to be a favorite breakfast from now on.
