Hi KITTEN; This is the best Coleslaw that I have ever had. Some many years ago, the WHITE SPOT used to have a similar Coleslaw but not near as good as yours. The blending of the dressing ingredients is excellent. The celery seed is a super-great addition to the coleslaw. This recipe deserves more than 5 stars and I shall consider it at least a 10 star. Thank you for sharing this marvelous recipe with us. "Uncle Bill"

You promised and you are right! I'm the only one in the house who will eat cole slaw(cold slob-the kids say!)and I'm going to eat this whole recipe (in a matter of several days, of course! LOL!) I didn't have any buttermilk or 1/2 and 1/2 so I used 1 cup cottage cheese and 1 cup milk and blended all the dressing in the blender. MAGNIFICO!

Yummm!!! This one's a keeper! The only thing I did different was to add 3-4 small cloves of garlic, pressed, in place of the garlic powder. I wouldn't change a thing otherwise. I'll definitely be making it again!

Like everyone said this tastes just like KFC or even Applebee's coleslaw. I was lazy and didn't feel like shredding the carrot and cabbage so I bought one of those coleslaw mix bags in the produce section. I didn't take into account that the purple cabbage they toss in that mix would BLEED purple and turn the whole dish purple. Still tasted perfect, just a funky color. Keeper recipe.

Kitten this was one of the best coleslaw recipes I have ever made. I used a bag of cabbage and carrots already prepared which cut down on time, but otherise made as directed. There was a lot of the dressing, but used a slotted spoon to serve. Great combination of flavors. You do need to let it sit for the amount of time stated. I really didn't think I was going to like this when I first made it. But as the flavors blend, it become outstanding. Thanks so much.

This is fabulous coleslaw! My husband is not a coleslaw fan and he really enjoyed it. I doubled it for two batches and there was more than enough dressing. I can see that allowing it to refrigerate overnight is a must. Next time I'll cut back on the sugar--I don't think 2 tblsp. of sugar is needed but if you like it with a little extra sweetness, go for it!

I made this salad to go along with barbeque chicken sandwhiches which I served on Kittencal's soft burger buns. This coleslaw is delightful! I used two bags of preshreded coleslaw and added the carrots. I used the fresh lemon juice too. Perfection!

Perfect recipe! I will never search for a coleslaw recipe again. I didn't have celery seed so I added some chopped celery. My DD loved it also. Thank you KITTENCAL.

I served this to my family about six hours after I made it and my husband said that it was the best coleslaw I have ever made for him. However, we had leftovers the next day and the flavor of the green onion had taken over the whole dish. We didn't enjoy it nearly as much, so I won't be making it the day before for anything. My hubby loves coleslaw, though, and he coulnd't say enough about this one. A keeper in our house.

Yum! Very good recipe. I didn't have buttermilk, so used a tbls. of vinegar in whole milk. Worked like a charm! Thanks for a delicious cole slaw!
