This was excellent! It wasn't like anything I had ever had before. I used VERY hot sausage. The end result was beautiful. Thank you for posting! Yet another great recipe from Kittencal! UPDATE: When I make this, I split it up into smaller casseroles to freeze for later. Then I simply throw them straight into a 400° oven for about an hour. I don't put the cheese on top when I freeze them, I add it after about 30 minutes (or as soon as I remember to do it). They turn out as if made from fresh. Excellent!

A Ten-Star winner! Wow! This was good. How good? My DH said it was better than his mother's! I substituted pinto beans for the kidney beans and DH thought that using all sausage would be even better. May try that! I, too, made two casserole out of this, freezing one. This recipe is a real keeper.

This was awesome! We all enjoyed this yummy one dish meal. DH and DS are still raving. And how easy to put together! Next time I am going to use more seasoning and also some fresh baby spinach to make it more of a "Florentine".

This was so delicious that even my picky teen wanted more. I omitted the ground beef, used white kidney beans, and added 2 cups of coarsely chopped kale to the recipe. Bravisimo!!

This was just delicious and everyone who had some really liked it. I would not compare it to Pasta Fagioli though. It was more like a twist on Baked Ziti. I only used 8 oz. of the provolone also (and extra parmesan.) I will have to watch the calories but will definately make this again when in need of some scrumptious comfort food.

Loved it !!! I did omit the ground beef and used only hot turkey sausage. Used white kidney beans and only 1/2 pound of penne pasta. All the rest of the ingredients were used as printed. Since we are only two, this was suffient for dinner the night I made it and lunch 2 days later. I think it was even better at lunch. The flavors settled in very well.

Yeah! This is one of the easiest and tastiest cassies I've put together in a long time! Used a can of Italian-style chopped maters and rigatoni's! Yum, we did thoroughly enjoy! This little dish is so versatile you can almost name your own ingredients! Just great! Thanks, K, you've got another winner in your cache! Laudee
