These were fun and easy to make. I found the same recipe in a Pillsbury magazine. It suggested cutting eat breadstick in half lengthwise and widthwise to make four pieces then wrap the hotdog to make it look more like a mummy.

This was fantastic for my 4 yr old DD's Halloween party! The kids devoured them, and for the older ones I made ketchup "blood" dripping from the mummy's wrap. The store was sold out of breadstick dough, so I used crescent rolls, unwrapped but not separated, then cut in strips and wound around the weiner. Worked great! Next time I'll save one and take a photo....they went too quick! Thanks for sharing a great idea!

This was quick and easy to make, and something my young kids enjoyed. We used crescent rolls instead of breadstick dough; nice and flaky.

Very cute looking, and very easy. I had a bit of trouble with the dough cooking evenly on the bottom of the hotdogs, so I popped them back into the oven and baked them again upsdie down for a bit longer.

My 10-year-old made these for our Halloween "dinner" and had 5 stars worth of fun just making them.
We also enjoyed eating them! They were well-wrapped mummies, as I buy Hebrew National franks--there are only 7 in a package--and the breadsticks I purchased had 12 in the package. He did cut them lengthwise into thinner strips, and they came out adorable. Thanks for posting this fun recipe!

We have been making these for years. In the past we used crescent dough, but have been using the breadstick dough for a couple years now. Try brushing the dough with a little melted butter and sprinkling on some garlic powder, oregano or other herbs. I think we actually bought a breadstick dough that had a spread with herbs to brush on the dough with it. Also, my kids really like the hot dogs you buy with the cheese already inside them. My kids, now 16 and 14 still insist on having these every Halloween. I use to feel that this was about as good a dinner I could get in them as they were so anxious to get out the door trick or treating. Great, fun recipe.

These are so much fun. My 8 yr old daughter made them for our halloween party. We made them for the kids to eat, but couldn't keep the adults out of them! We had a food competition and these won 1st place for the dish that best represented the Halloween theme. Thanks!

These were great! I made using pre-packaged puff pastry, since that's all that's available and cut into thin strips, wrapped around the hotdogs to look like a mummy. They were delicious! A little bit time consuming, but WELL worth it. A hit of the party, and many kids asking for seconds. Thanks for the great recipe idea.

Completely addicted to these! I use Hebrew Nationals (I think these have the best hot dog flavor) and like to make them for quick snacks or dinners. They reheat all right, too. Almost like a bagel dog, but better.
