My guys just loved these! They said 5 stars all the way! I don't usually use Bisquick but had a box that was sitting there that I can't even remember why I purchased it. This recipe seemed easy and it was! I used only 1 Tbsp vanilla and after tasting the dough before baking thought the vanilla flavour was prominent enough that I will only use one when I make this in the future. The dough was very thick/firm and it wasn't really spreadable for me so it was more like pressing it out into the pan with the spoon. I baked it in an Airbake (double layer insulated) pan which probably wasn't the best plan and had to bake 10 minutes longer than the recipe stated. For the chips I used 1/2 cup of cinnamon chips and 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate mini's since that was what I had on hand. Will definitely keep this recipe!

These were very, very good and the pan I made less than 24 hours ago is gone! I took many of the suggestions here....1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar, mixed the chips in the batter and lowered the oil to 1/4 cup. I found them a little oily however, so next time I'm going to try using applesauce for the oil. I needed 35 minutes to cook them, but all in all, very chewy, very tasty and very easy! "Homemade" chocolate chip cookies in bar form. What a great idea!

I made this recipe last night. They were very quick and easy to make although they came out quite oily. I followed the directions exactly, next time I'll try using less oil. I will definately be making these again as they were very quick, easy and yummy! Thanks for posting.

This is a good recipe for using up Bisquick. I wouldn't make it otherwise, though. They taste about the same as store-bought refridgerated cookie dough(like Pillsbury). I used Reduced-Fat Bisquick and 1 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar. I folded in the 1 cup of chocolate chips and then topped the bars with additional chocolate chips and M&M baking pieces.

I made these as a halloween treat for my family. I had to make two batches that same night so I could take some to school to share with my co-workers. I used a bag of the halloween baking chips I found in the grocery store instead of regular chocolate chips, and, I used a WHOLE 12oz. bag instead of 1 cup.

So simple, so quick and sooooo GOOD!!! I used another reviewer's idea and did half white sugar/half brown sugar. I also sprinkled with chocolate chips and peanut butter chips. My family was so thrilled to have this after dinner...they could smell them baking while we were eating! Thanks for posting this...it's a great recipe.

These were great. Thank god for this recipe so I could use that box of bisquick I had no use for. I followed the suggestions and used 1/2 c sugar 1/2 c light brown sugar and mixed in the chips and 1/4 c oil. The came out moist and delicious. Awesome recipe for a quick snack I can whip up anytime with few ingredients!

Awesome! I used low fat bisquick because that is all I had and they were great! I can't wait to try cinnamon chips next time.

Really easy, but I found them to be a bit to greasy for me. I cut the edges off to get prettier shaped bars. You couldn't do anything much faster than this though.
