Green Peas With (Fake) Bacon and Onions Recipe #380866

I love making this dish. Using turkey tail cuts out serious calories and is actually super cheap at the grocery store. The natural fattiness of the tail allows you to not add oil or butter, lowering the amount of calories you cook with

SERVES 4 -5

  1. Toss the turkey tail into a cast iron skillet on medium heat.
  2. Let the turkey tail cook down, longer if you want it crunchy like bacon bites or less if you want your bits a bit chewy.
  3. Add chopped onion.
  4. Add bag of frozen peas and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
