SERVES 12

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Pour hot water over the broken matzos. Let soak. Press out water and add salt. Add the eggs. Mix the sugar, cinnamon, and lemon.
  3. Grease an 11 3/4 x 8 inch baking pan. Layer ingredients: matxo, apple, matzo. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  4. Bake for an hour or until done.
