Glaze

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Butter and flour 9-inch square pan.
  3. Sift together cocoa, flour, salt and cinnamon.
  4. Melt butter, corn oil, and chocolate over a double boiler. Place melted chocolate mixture in a mixing bowl. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Add brown sugar and beat well. Add eggs slowly. Add cognac. Slowly add dry ingredients, mixing until incorporated.
  6. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 20-30 minutes.
  7. Let brownies cool and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Glaze:.
  9. Melt chocolate, corn oil and cognac over a double boiler.
  10. Place brownies on cake rack over pan to catch drippings. Pour warm glaze over to coat.
  11. Chill until glaze sets.
  12. Refrigerate any remaining glaze in a covered bowl.
