Famous Pumpkin Pie Recipe #351609

This recipe is from the Libby's Canned Pumpkin label... I always use this recipe - my husband loves it! Simple, unabashed, pumpkin pie heaven...

SERVES 8 , 1 Deep Dish Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves in small bowl.
  3. Beat eggs in large bowl.
  4. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture.
  5. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.
  6. Pour into pie shell.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  8. Reduce temperature to 350 and bake 40-50 minutes, or until knife inserted into center comes out clean.
  9. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
  10. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
