SERVES 12

2 cups sugar
4 large eggs, beaten
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts or shredded coconut

Preheat oven to 350oF.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
Pour batter into a well greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
Bake 25 - 30 minutes.
